Blue Lagoon (Akamas Peninsula)

It is said that the film "The Blue Lagoon" was filmed here. Depending on the sunlight, the water is actually partly deep blue and partly turquoise. But also the whole way here, from the baths of Aphrodite along the coast, is a highlight!

Blue Lagoon is part of Akamas Peninsula National Park. You can get here by land (which is not easy) or by water. Swimming and diving in the warm and crystal clear waters of this lagoon is a real pleasure. However, there is one "but". To enjoy this place, you need to come to it in the morning (preferably as early as possible). This is because it is very popular and has therefore acquired a commercial character, unfortunately. Every time around noon, numerous ships with dozens of vacationers looking for a swim arrive here. And the spell is broken, but not entirely ...

Greetings from the Caribbean! The water couldn't be more turquoise, it's simply unique to swim here. Many come by boat or quad, some on foot or by mountain bike. In the high season there is really a lot going on here, in the low season it is just heavenly!
