The Kunreuther Lukas church is originally a branch of the Forchheimer Martinsstifts. At the site of today's building is formerly a Kemenate (living room of a castle) have been. Presumably, the lords of and to Egloffstein, who have the manor Kunreuth since about 900, here founded the first church.
In 1426, the present church is inaugurated and named after the evangelist Luke; the church is built in Baroque style;
