The Work on the Groeneweg is a Dutch position along the Lek on the Island of Schalkwijk, near the village of Schalkwijk. The position is part of the New Dutch Waterline and built during the mobilization of the First World War.
The Werk aan de Groeneweg is located 1700 meters east of Fort Honswijk and had to withstand a possible direct attack from the east. The position consisted of an earthen wall with trenches and moats. This position ran from the Achterdijk to the floodplains of the Lek. Shelters were also built of reinforced concrete.
