The Dordse Church Foundation has requested a so-called repurposing study for the striking white church of Nieuw-Dordrecht. In recent years, the eye-catcher has been used for meetings, parties, weddings and lectures. But because much was canceled due to the corona outbreak, the income received by the foundation decreased significantly.
It is necessary to have the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands look at what else the church could be used for, says chairman Hank Peters of the Dordse Church Foundation. The board expects that a new destination could provide a solution. The research should be completed next spring.
