The Palm House in Wałbrzych is an extraordinary gift that the last owner of Książ Castle - Jan Henryk XV von Hochberg - gave to his wife, the beautiful Princess Daisy. The heart of the palm house in ancient times was and still is a building made of glass and metal, built at the beginning of the 20th century, the interior of which was lined with solidified lava from the Etna volcano. Currently, over 250 species of plants grow in the palm house, and visiting it is a fascinating journey through all continents and climatic zones. It is worth knowing that the Palm House in Wałbrzych is the only winter garden in Poland preserved in its historical structure.
