Rocchetta Nervina is a small village in the province of Imperia in Liguria (Italy) with 291 inhabitants. It is built at an altitude of 235 meters, at the bottom of the Barbaira valley, a tributary of the Nervia descending from the ridge separating the Nervia and Roya valleys. It is dominated by the Monte Abellio (1015 m.) to the West, the Monte Terca (1070 m.) to the North and the Monte Morgi (820 m.) to the East. The precise site is a small steep promontory at the confluence of the Barbaira and the Rio d’Oggia.
