Tips
If, after exiting at the Lower Lock, you do not turn over the Hermanstiege to the Schlegelhütte, but continue to follow the hiking trail parallel to the Kirnitzsch, you will reach this beautiful high-altitude trail. With usually sufficient distance from the edge of the cliff, you will reach the New Bear Cave and, for those interested, the historic Kerbensteig.
