The village was founded before 1296. At the same time, a stone, Romanesque church was also built. From the 14th century to the end of the 18th century, Sulibórz was the property of the von Wedel family. The village was destroyed in 1410 during the Polish-Teutonic War and again during the Thirty Years' War (1618-1648). It also did not survive the Second World War. In 1945 it was on the front line and was completely destroyed. The church was rebuilt only in the years 1990-1997.
