The Lyngemadssjön is brown and this is not a sign of pollution, but its trademark. Humus-rich moor waters color it a deep amber, from which rocky islands with ancient, wind-battered pines rise, some over 300 years old. The silence here is occasionally broken only by the call of a red-throated diver or the shadow of an osprey.
