The elaborately designed baroque draw well made of red sandstone was created in 1717. It is 16.25 meters deep and has a further 7 meters of rubble. The unequal-sided octagonal basin has four cartouche fields, each with the coat of arms of the Commander Ernst Wladislaus Graf von Dönhoff, who donated the fountain. The two Tuscan columns on pedestals have ball tops. In the 19th century, the fountain was equipped with a mechanism that was operated by a horse-drawn sledge that was built next to it. The power was transmitted to the lever of the single-piston pump underground as far as the fountain. The mechanism was dismantled, except for a few remnants.

Historic old fountain made of sandstone, with impressive columns.

The title is completely wrong. This refers to the historic fountain in the courtyard of Schiffenberg Monastery.
