The church dates from around 1400 AD (the exact year of construction is unknown). The church has a Gothic architectural style with the characteristic pointed arches.
In the past, the church and tower were connected. The western part of the church used to be lower than the eastern part. However, this part collapsed or was destroyed by soldiers (unclear). After this, the walls were raised to the same height and the connection between the tower and the church was broken.
