The Pousada Caniçada-Gerês is located very close to the impressive Peneda-Gerês National Park. This region is the only one in Portugal to be designated a national park. The Pousada is located in a beautiful chalet in the mountains, surrounded by lush forests with crystal clear waterfalls and a breathtaking landscape. The Pousada is a wonderful viewpoint above the Caniçada dam in the middle of the Rio Cávado river.
