Castrolas was a famous bandit at the end of the 19th century and one of the most feared in the Montes de Toledo region. His name was Isidoro Juárez Navarro and he was born on April 5, 1851. His adventures and misdeeds took place in the fields and mountains of Consuegra, Madridejos, Villarrubia de los Ojos, Urda and Puerto Lápice. Castrolas was a native of Villarrubia de los Ojos. They hid in caves or shelters, some of which are still known, such as the so-called Castrolas cave in the municipality of Madridejos, a very accessible place at the top of one of the mountains that form the area known as Sierra de Valdehierro, where there is a sloping trail with a steeper final section, which has become a very popular hiking route. Castrolas was murdered in 1881 and, being a person persecuted by justice, his body was exposed with his ears cut off, on the fence of the Church of Christ in Urda, to serve as a public lesson.
