About 4 km from Telšiai, near the famous Džiuginėnai mound, where, according to legend, the grave of the giant Džiugo, the founder of the city of Telšiai himself, was poured, stands the Džiuginėnai mansion. The first information about this area appeared in historical sources as early as the 18th century. The manor consists of 4 buildings, of which 1 is residential and 3 are farm buildings. The life of this manor is related to the famous Gorski family of landlords in Žemaitia, writer Žemaita, painter and photographer J. Perkovskis, researcher of Žemaitia art.
