This interesting exhibition is now located in the former, listed transformer station, opposite the church. The door is open, there is no admission charge and it is worth taking a look.

Ten women are the focus of this exhibition:
Gustava Bley (1844-1930)
Charlotte v.Kathen (1777-1850)
Steffi Nerius (*1972),
Thurid Pörksen (*1945),
Marlies Preller (*1949)
Eufemia von Rügen (around 1276-1312)
Adeline v. Schimmelmann (1854-1913),
Franziska Tiburtius (1843-1927)
Charlotte Schimmelpfennig (1897-1971)
Evelyn Zupke (*1962)
At first glance, these personalities seem to be completely different. They are united by their close connection to Rügen. Some were born here, others worked here, all have left their mark in some way. Some of them were wealthy and influential, others had to fear for their existence. While some of them achieved spectacular things, some worked or still work inconspicuously in the background.
They differed in their origins, their education, their temperament and their life situations. They worked in different eras. All were distinguished by the fact that they crossed boundaries in their time with courage, talent, civil courage and great compassion. They deserve not to be forgotten.
