The wine press was once part of the manor and dates from before 1580. It was sold to the municipality by the royal finance chamber in 1834. In 1850, the wine press had five wine trees (presses from Eichenhotz) and a trotte (for crushing the grapes) on 70 hectares of vineyards in Höpfigheim. A screw press was purchased in 1868 and a hydraulic press in 1927. In 1952 the Höpfigheim cooperative for gardeners was founded and the installation of devices for de grape picking took place in autumn. In the wine press, the wattles and tubs of the Wengerter were once stored outside of autumn. The grapes of Höpfigheimer Wengerter have been with the winegrowers' cooperative since 2003
