The core of the late Romanesque hall church dates back to the second half of the 12th century. It was built from fieldstone and has a recessed choir on a rectangular floor plan. It was rebuilt at the beginning of the 16th century. Further renovations took place in 1708 and 1737, with a crypt being added to the north side of the choir in 1708.
