During the war (August 1940-1945), the fort was a prisoner of war camp for French and English soldiers, and from 1942 also Soviet, Italian (1944) and Polish soldiers (Stalag XXI D). In January 1945 the camp was evacuated. After the war, the fort was used as a warehouse.
In the 1990s, the area was sold to a private owner. There was a disco in the fort, a motorcycle club has been meeting there since 1994, and since 2003 it has also housed the Poznań Music Stage.
