The site is located east of the town of Karlstadt in the local nature reserve and is located directly on federal highway 27. There are two runways and a winch towing route with alignment 19 and a length of 900 meters. All runways are unpaved. The airfield is at an altitude of 244 m (820 ft) MSL.
