Hiking

There are seven simple wayside crosses in the area around Nörtelshausen. They commemorate the seven sorrows of Mary, a centuries-old form of prayer that has its biblical origins in Simeon's prophecy to the Mother of God. The seventh station found here, just before the cemetery, commemorates the burial of the crucified Christ.

Hiking

The community cemetery is located on the outskirts of Nörtelshausen. The well-maintained graves are a dignified reminder of those buried there. Also impressive is the large wooden crucifix with the colorfully painted body of the crucified Christ.
