The Buchenloch cave is located in the Gerolsteiner Dolomites nature reserve.
It can be reached on foot via the "Gerolsteiner Felsenpfad" volcanic Eifel path and the Eifelsteig. The cave was washed out of the stone millions of years ago by the dissolving power of groundwater and is accessible all year round via a staircase.translated by

Mostly beautiful paths, quite steep uphill. Once you get to the top, there's a bit of history.
