Salome Alt, from 1600 Alt von Altenau (November 21, 1568 in Salzburg, the capital of the then Prince Archbishopric of Salzburg; † June 27, 1633 in Wels, Austria) was the partner and lover of the Prince Archbishop of Salzburg Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau (1559–1617 ).

On the instructions of King Ferdinand I, Hans Hoffmann bought the house in 1550 as additional guest accommodation for Wels Castle. His son had the facade of the house painted around 1570, simulating stone blocks, bricks and figures. It was influenced by the Northern Italian Renaissance. The building was given particular importance by its owner Salome Alt, who bought the house in 1622. She was the partner of the Salzburg Prince-Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Raitenau, with whom she had 15 children. After the Archbishop was captured, she fled to Wels, where she lived until her death.
