Highly recommended for those you like to cycle with sheep😉. Lovely little (and I mean little) path along the canal. Nice views etc., but the path is very narrow (in places 1/2 meter only), in poor shape and (see above) full of sheep 🐑 and their droppings.
For those who want to be a little less ‘close to nature’: cross over at the lock (slot in Dutch) where the path turns from the Drecht towards the Amstel-Drecht canal and take the ‘Niewveens Jaagspad.

Jaagpad has since been renovated. Excellent for cycling. Narrow, but not crowded on weekdays. Beautiful route.

Single track old towing path with free ranging sheep, was used to tow boats.

I advise cyclists not to cycle here.

Side note: road is closed for about a year!

From Jakker the Jaagpad is a dead end / cordoned off. You can cycle on the other side of the water to the Tolhuissluis and cross it to follow the Jaagpad from there.
It is a nice path, but it is very narrow so with oncoming cars you or your oncoming car will have to go on the road.

The second half of het Jaagpad is under construction. Not rideable with a road bike. I tried with a gravel bike and came out the other end with sore arms and hands. Looks awesome for a mountain bike adventure, though :)
Idyllic path, narrow, lots of gravel. Some confusing bends and occasional animals on the path. Not for cycling at high speed, but enjoyable nonetheless!
