Drive to the parking spot at the end of Moorpark Rd. Parking is free and allowed from 5 am to 10 pm. The Trail winds itself up the hill and as higher you get as better the view to the valley. Almost on top is a little bench to rest. Be careful because the trail is a "mountain-bike highway". The bikers are friendly and usually careful. Most of them have the automatic bell to warn hikers. We came along each other very well.
The trail itself is heavily carved and has a lot of gravel, but is not as steep as expected. Nevertheless, you should have good hiking boots.
