The route of the Innerste cycle path leads from the Innerstequelle over the Upper Harz mountain meadows through the steep valley with the lively bubbling Innerste. Between Wildemann and Langelsheim the route runs on the former railway embankment. In Ruthe, near Sarstedt, the Innerste flows into the Leine after 105 km.
