    Stone bridge full of stories.... It speaks of a green-eyed merfolk and a young hunter...
    Built in 1763, it was called the Pont des "Fies", a dialect word meaning "spruces".
    In 1944, the only bridge still intact, it was used by the French army to cross the Vologne.

      The Pont des Fées is actually a Pont des Fies, but a fairy bridge gives rise to much more beautiful legends than a spruce bridge – as can be seen in the photos on the information boards at the bridge.

      The Fairy Bridge is a comparatively high and wide bridge over the Vologne River, compared to the picturesque stone bridges above and below.
