In 1978, the municipality of Rödinghausen erected a “Rilke memorial stone” at a particularly beautiful viewing point on the Schluchtenweg west of the Klosteracker junction. It is reminiscent of Rainer Maria Rilke, who stayed at Gut Böckel in 1917 and found shelter there with the poet and landlady Hertha Koenig during difficult times.
