At the heart of an exceptional natural setting, the town is protected on one side by Cap Canaille, the highest maritime cliff in Europe, and by the creeks on the other. Between the Provençal hinterland and the Mediterranean Sea, Cassis is a former fishing village and still today a fishing port with typical charm. Stroll through the streets of the city, admire the colorful facades of the houses, sit on one of the cozy terraces which border the port and the boats.
