Hamlets and peasant history: Callabout is dotted with hamlets, witnesses to a rich peasant history. The inhabitants have preserved their historical and archaeological heritage, notably the Cap Blanc shelter and the Laussel site with its famous “Venus”. The castles of Commarque, Puymartin, Laussel and La Carrière add a medieval touch to the region.
