Rajadell Train Station

Rajadell Station is a railway stop located in the municipality of the same name, in the province of Barcelona, autonomous community of Catalonia. It is located at kilometer point 289.2 of the Iberian gauge railway line that connects Zaragoza with Barcelona, passing through Lérida and Manresa. This station is located between the Aguilar de Segarra and Manresa stations.

The train arrived in Rajadell in 1860 when the section between Manresa and Lleida built by the Company of the Saragossa Railway in Barcelona was put into service. The railway station is located in the Estació district, separated from the old town (which we will pass through at the end of the route), which grew up around the railway tracks.
In front of the station is the only place on the entire route where we can have breakfast or lunch in one of the restaurants in front. The tourist building houses the Rajadell Tourist Information Office. There are also different information boards for routes and walks.

The station's dogwood (Celtis australis) was a tree found in the municipality of Rajadell (el Bages). It was withdrawn due to its fall hazard in October 2018.

Despite not enjoying spectacular dimensions, it was a really aesthetic and welcoming hawthorn, which had enjoyed the advantage of having a village that had taken care of it for years and had turned it into an emblem. It had a magnificently wide scotch at the foot of the stump, which had an important contribution of organic matter, as well as a set of garden junipers that acted as protectors of its own gate, from the compacting footsteps and the possible graphics of visitors.
