A narrow and picturesque route along a historic artificial canal, parallel to the Astico River, protected by a metal balustrade: accessible on foot or by gravel/mountain bike.

The canal, nearly 3 km long, begins at the 'Rozzola' hydroelectric power plant in Chiuppano. In the 'Isolon' area, it disappears into a 300 m underground tunnel, then reappears and continues to the 'Rossi' hydroelectric power plant in Calvene. This highlight is the final segment, from the tunnel to the Rossi power plant.

The canal is part of a historic and complex system for generating electricity from the Astico River, still in use today. It was initially commissioned by industrialist Alessandro Rossi, between the 19th and 20th centuries, to power the nearby Rossi cotton mill in Chiuppano and—via a 30 km network—also his buildings in Vicenza... a testament to daring engineering archaeology!
