Picnic Island Park is a popular picnicking spot in southern Tampa. There is a lot of beach access at the back of the park, and the trails are a little less busy back here, too. Note that the beachside paths in the park are sandy and don't provide the fastest walking-terrain, but this just helps make these spots that much more private.
