The castle of Montalbo, built in 1138, was rebuilt twice: once after its first destruction in 1215 and a second time in 1516, after its last devastation. With a hexagonal plan, the southernmost of the castles in the municipality has at its center the oldest bell tower of the manor. The current architecture is strongly influenced by the style of the Vignola family, who renovated it, making it still one of the best preserved fortresses today. The tower and turret above the entrance are the oldest parts.
