Mieszkowice had two city gates - Boleszkowicka from the south and Chojeńska from the north. Both gates had extensive foregates. In 1872 the gates were demolished. There is a gap in the wall where the Chojeńska Gate used to stand. From the west you can see a bricked-up passage. This is the remains of an additional gate next to the main gate. It was built in the 14th century and bricked up in the 15th century.
