The building was rebuilt in 1720 after the conflagration of 1719 in a simple form as a baroque hall church. It contains only one gallery. Around 1888, the church received an organ from the workshop of the master Hugo Böhm from Gotha, which was restored in 2005 by Orgelbau Waltershausen (Wikipedia).
