    Hiking

    This section of the Sawcut Notch Path traverses just below the the northern perimeter of the park. As you hike, keep an eye out for Great Dome and Little Dome. On the rock faces of these domes you might see scoop-like imprints etched into the stone, which are hundreds of years old. These markings were made by the Massachusett people as they shaped rocks into tools like spears and adzes.

    As you run along this section of the Sawcut Notch Path, you will notice that it passes just below the northern edge of the park. Keep an eye out for the Great Dome and Little Dome. These domes have scoop-like imprints etched into their rock faces that are several centuries old. These markings were made by the Massachusett people, who used the rocks to create tools such as spears and adzes.
