In the village of Gdochia on Crete, there is an olive grove owned by a Dutch family since 2009. They purchased a plot of land and expanded it with adjacent fields, so they now own almost 1 hectare of land, part of which is planted with several hundred olive trees. The olive trees are of the Koroneiki variety, known as the "king of olives," and produce high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
