The swamp is similar to a small sea.
The Negratín Reservoir, also called “El Mar del Altiplano”, is the third largest reservoir in Andalusia in terms of capacity.
It receives water from the rivers Baza, Cúllar, Galera, Orce, Bravatas, Guardal, Castril, and water from the many mountains that surround the reservoir.
