Late 2025. Took a boat from Muang Khua to M. Ngoy then biked to Nong Khiaw. Nice ride, bumpy dirt road, only one river crossing by M. Ngoy. More traffic close to Nong Khiaw. Lots of up and downs.

M. Ngoy is a nice place to spend a couple of days, great viewpoint hikes, food and lots of guesthouses. Kayaked from Sopchem, it was great. Quite touristy. Similarly good views and hikes in Nong Khiaw.

Cycling it right now (21st March) from Nong Khiaw and there's 3 very muddy parts and a lot of ups and downs, halfway there's a village where you can buy water and food
