The Heaven and Hell Caves are located 25 km from Silifke city center, 2 km northwest of the ancient port of Narlıkuyu and 5 km west of Korykos (Kızkalesi). These are natural sinkhole formations that were created by the collapse of the ceiling structure, which was undermined over many years by water runoff caused by the dissolution of the limestone layer of the groundwater.
