Beautiful descent from the Port de Tibi back to Alicante, of or course climb from Alicante to the Port de Tibi, along a very quiet rural road that follows de Riu de Montnegre.

Road cycling

It's beautiful—breathtaking, really! But most of the road has extremly rough asphalt. There are some sections with new tarmac, but overall, about 8 km of bad surface. It's perfectly doable on a road bike but not very pleasant—ride it northbound only. Otherwise, you'll encounter huge potholes, and the asphalt is more like loose gravel on very steep descents! On a gravel bike or MTB it doesn't really matter.
