The Cyganka strict protection area in the Kampinos National Park was established in 1977 to protect a fragment of the Niepust swampy valley and the dunes of the Niepusty Forest with low and high oak-hornbeam forest, luminous oak forest, alder riparian forest, alder and mixed forest, as well as a sedge meadow and a mooring bed.

There are two hiking trails running near the reserve: the trail named after Kazimierz W. Wójcicki (black) and the "To Karczmiska" educational trail (green).
