The small community of Mariazell is a lovely stop on a bike tour. The Basilica of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary can be seen from afar - well worth seeing and also the most important pilgrimage site in Austria. If you are more of a culinary pilgrim, you will also get your money's worth here. Lebkuchen Pirker has what is probably the tastiest souvenir in town - here you can also discover how the pastries are made on a guided tour. A visit to the Arzberger liqueur factory is also a great destination.
