Here once stood a castle on which, according to legend, Emperor Barbarossa was born. today there is a branch office of the Diakonie Stetten in Remstal.
From here you can enjoy beautiful views down to the Remstal, and the Schurwald.

A place with a bizarre history: In 1876 Eduard Weitzel, theosophist and leader of a self-created sun religion, bought the Elisabethenberg. He allegedly distilled medicinal herbal brandies here. In 1899 the building got a swimming pool and cures were offered. Successively, the property served as a reserve hospital, railway workers' rest home, tuberculosis sanatorium, and finally as a workshop and dormitory for people with intellectual disabilities. Since the offside situation does not correspond to today's ideas of inclusion, E-Berg will be abandoned in 2022.
