When planning your visit, be aware that the park is open from sunrise to sunset, Tuesday through Sunday, and closed on Mondays. Parking is available on-site, and there is no admission fee. Much of the park consists of open marsh with limited shade, so remember to bring plenty of water, wear a hat, and use sunscreen, especially during warmer months.
This park is a significant haven for wildlife, often likened to a miniature Everglades, where you can spot numerous bird species, alligators, and other creatures. The terrain varies, featuring packed dirt, gravel, sand, grass, and sections with boardwalks, offering a varied surface for your run.
