church The Sacred Heart of Jesus was built in 1908. The construction of the church was largely paid for by residents working in the oil industry. In gratitude for God's blessing, which was working in oil extraction for them, they decided to contribute to the construction of a new temple. Nowa, because until then there was a wooden church in Bóbrka. This transformation was also intended to emphasize the change in status
material inhabitants. The new, tall, brick church, visible from a distance, sent the message to visitors: "We live prosperously here."
Inside the temple there are over 100-year-old paintings made by the painter Jan Krupski, and the beautiful stained glass windows were created by Józef Ostrowski and Stefan Matejko (yes, one of those Matejkos!). As you can see, many distinguished people were involved in the construction of the church in Bóbrka, which only confirms the financial capabilities of the inhabitants (...)
