This is a beautiful trail, just a moment away from built up Fort Lauderdale, yet it feels like the middle of nowhere. A hardpacked gravel path goes deep into the Everglades, with almost guaranteed wildlife sightings. You can expect to see turtles, gators, egrets and butterflies. It's best enjoyed in the morning or evening, as there isn't any shade on the path.
