The Baháʼí Temple, is the second ever constructed and the oldest still standing among the eight continental Baháʼí temples. Designed by French-Canadian architect Louis Bourgeois, with input from ʻAbdu'l-Bahá, it embodies the Baháʼí principle of the unity of religion. Construction began in the 1920s, with delays during the Great Depression and World War II. Dedicated in 1953, the temple serves as a devotional space open to the public, emphasizing unity among diverse faiths.
