Sutherland Road is a public bridleway that forms the major north-south thoroughfare through Cropton Forest. If you head north along it you will ascend, gradient is not too bad for brisk hiking or slow jogging. You will pass dozens of paths and tracks to the left and right as you navigate it, so there are plenty of routing options.
