The lake shore is dotted with erratic boulders. This is located on the lakeside of Ispra.
The area, populated by interesting fauna, was also the scene of a bloody battle in the 11th century, in the middle of the Middle Ages, during the power struggles that marked the beginning of the Visconti lordship over the entire territory that had Angera and the its fortress among the main strategic points.
